It is with great pleasure that after 8 months of work we can announce that we will be delivering Clean Energy Council approved training for solar and batteries in the NT for NT residents. Training will be supported by funding from the Northern Territory Government’s Department of Trade, Business and Innovations Workskills NT Buildskills Program.
The PV Solar industry has been growing strongly and is set to continue as a number of electrical businesses who have suffered from the economic downturn are turning to solar. It is important that we maintain high standards and this program will allow local electrical contractors to do this one week training course in Darwin and Alice Springs.
With the subsidy provided by the NTG, locals will able to do the training here in the NT at a much reduced cost and avoid the expenses of travelling interstate and accommodation costs.
The courses will be delivered in 2019 in Darwin and Alice Springs by successful tenderer Solar Training Centre who is proud to be selected to deliver accredited solar and battery storage training to the NT market. Solar Training Centre is an industry based, award-winning national Registered Training Organisation (RTO# 40352). (see: www.solarrto.com.au)
The solar and battery qualifications are required by the Clean Energy Council (CEC) and various state governments to design and install solar systems in safe and compliant manner.
We would also like to acknowledge the support of ABB who will be providing the training facilities in Darwin free of charge as part of their support for SmartEnergy NT as a Foundation Sponsor of the organisation.
Those interested in registering for the courses which we hope to start in Darwin in the near future can register their interest by contacting either Geoff Goodrich on 0419 906524 info@smartenergynt.net.au or Steve Kostoff on 0430030023 or steve@greenrto.com.au
